Calumet Cadet and Cadet Wide

Very affordable entry level 4X5 monorail
cameras. Light weight and easy to use with plenty of perspective control
movements . Main draw back is that the bellows does not come off on either model.
Cadet features a built-in fixed pleated bellows to give flexibility to use a wide range of
lenses, from 75mm wide angle to a moderate telephoto 305mm.
Cadet Wide is the wide-angle
model of the Cadet with a shorter monorail and a bag bellow for use with wide angle
lenses. Cadet Wide allows you to shoot with lenses down to 47mm. Both cameras are metal
with some parts made of plastic. Cadet has a bellows extension of 2.4''-15''. Cadet Wide
bellows is 1.4''-9.5''. Both cameras have full front movements and tilt and swing rear
movements. Swing and tilt movements feature click-stop detents so you can feel
when your camera is in zero-position. Horizontal to vertical format changes are easily
done with the reversible ground glass back. Both models accept all 4x5 sheet film holders,
Readyload holders, Polaroid 4x5 film backs and Calumet slide-in 120/220 roll film holders
available in 6x7 and 6x9 formats. Calumet offers a great line of accessories for both
cameras. These cameras are great buys for 35mm users moving up to large format.
