Konica - Minolta 5600HS-D Maxxum

The 5600HS(D) provides remarkable flash output with the maximum guide number of 184 feet at ISO100 in a compact body. Flash coverage is available from 24mm to 85mm focal lengths, and further extends to the 17mm focal length with a built-in wide-angle adapter. The 5600HS(D) assures highly reliable metering accuracy with the ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) flash metering in combination with Minolta's new lenses with distance encoder and the Maxxum7 or Maxxum5. It also supports versatile remote flash photography with Wireless/Remote High-speed Sync when the 5600HS(D) is used as an off-camera flash of the Maxxum7 or Maxxum5. The AF illuminator covers the Maxxum7's 9-point sensors in the wide focus area. Furthermore, the flash head tilts 10° downward for close-up photography. Compatible with DiMAGE7/DiMAGE5.

Wireless/Remote Off-Camera Flash is available with the Maxxum 7, 9, si- or xi- series Ratio Flash is available with the built-in flash of the cameras. Sends control signals to off-camera flash units when attached to the Maxxum 7, 9, 800si, 700si, 600si Classic, 505si Super and 9xi. Wireless/Remote High-speed Sync is available with the Maxxum 7.

The AF Illuminator is automatically activated in low-light and low contrast situations Illuminates the wide focus area (covers 24 - 105mm focal length) Range: 3-point local focus areas aligned horizontally in the center: (24 - 105mm) 6-point local focus areas in the upper and lower lines: Approx. 0.5 - 5m (35 -105 mm) (based on Minolta's standard test method with 50mm lens)

This high powered flash enhances your indoor and night photographs. It offers a maximum guide number of 183-3/4 feet (56 in meters) at 85mm and ISO 100. And it aligns to all speeds of the high-speed shutter. This, coupled with its compact design, increases its effectiveness and versatility as a System Accessory.

The innovative bounce flash head conveniently tilts 10 degrees downward, 90 degrees upward 90 degrees clockwise and 180 degrees counter-clockwise for optimum freedom in composing your images.

Your flash provides the following custom functions to expand your photographic control: Wireless Channel Setting, Choice of Units for Distance Display, Auto-power Off-time Setting, Wireless Auto-power Off-time Setting, and Exposure Mode Settings for Manual Flash.

The ADI (Advanced Distance Integration) Flash feature calculates a guide number according to the distance from subject, ambient light and pre-flash reflectivity. This provides a flash metering performance that reduces or eliminates the effects of background conditions or your subject's reflectance, for a level of control accuracy never before possible.
*Effective only when attached to the Maxxum 7, 5 or 4 and D lenses.
