The lens also features special effects such as the capability to provide beautifully blurred backgrounds to highlight the main subject in portraiture, or "compression effects" that make the most of the telephoto lens. By switching to macro mode, subjects as close as 0.95m can be shot within the focal range of 180-300mm, for true macro photography. The optical system incorporates a LD (Low Dispersion) lens, resulting in clear sharp images free of chromatic aberration.

Compact et léger, ce télézoom macro inégalable autorise un rapport de grossissement maximum de 1 : 2 en position 300 mm, idéal pour photographier des sujets difficiles à approcher, notamment lors d'événements sportifs ou de spectacles. L'objectif permet également de créer des effets spéciaux, comme l'isolement du sujet principal qui se découpera sur un arrière-plan superbement flou, ou bien "l'écrasement de la perspective", un effet qui tire le meilleur parti du téléobjectif. En se positionnant sur le mode macro, on peut s'approcher jusqu'à 95 cm du sujet pour toutes les focales de 180 à 300 mm, ce qui autorise la vraie photo macro. Le
