TAOS is the first software application of its kind to take advantage of the bleeding-edge performance and capabilities of graphic processors (GPUs) like those in the nVidia GeForce FX, 6600, 6800 series or the ATI X800. Users control photo editing and manipulation by support from the advanced shader technologies. Special visual filters, like gamma and exposure control can be done in real time by exploiting the highly accelerated processing power of Open GL video cards. Other features include: search by color or similarity of a photo, powerful batch processing capabilities, slideshow, reads RAW Images from over 100 digital cameras. Realtime color correction and adjustment. Search to find duplicate. Images can be tagged with Hot Word technology (metadata) and exported to popular database and image formats. Taos is designed to interface seamlessly with other New Mexico Software servers including Roswell, Gallup, and White Sands.
